According to the Us Department of Justice, retail shops and consumer brands might be facing credit card swipe fees for encouraging individuals who are in debt to shop endlessly. Even the best credit cards in today's society allows individuals to over withdraw from their account, as those the sole responsibility falls directly on the consumer.
Many retail owners and merchants are applauded by the recent settlement which will see an effective change for Visa, Mastercard and American Express merchants in America. The idea behind this settlement is to encourage consumers to use lower cost payment methods, and reconsider the over use of credit cards. The merchants and stores who allow credit cards are not being conformed to support the settlement regardless of whether it is right or wrong.
